Lelystad - Aviodrome
The Aviodrome museum in Lelystad is one of the largest aviation collections in The Netherlands and is based at Lelystad Airport. The museum acts partially as themepark for children, but the true aviation enthusiast will definately be pleased as well. The collection covers the Dutch aviation history, especially with Dutch pioneers such as Fokker and Koolhoven. The museum is housed in a special built accomodation, as well as a small outside area and a restauration hangar with even some airworthy aircraft.
Highlights of the collection are the Lockheed Constellation, Fokker Spin, Fokker 50 proto type and the KLM Boeing 747-206SUD that was moved to the museum via the Amsterdam channels. Another highlight is the replica of the old Schiphol terminal building.
